First 2011, sad, cold, awful hash weekend

The first hash weekend in 2011 sucked balls!

The New Year's party at Bless U was fun, but I ended up sleeping on a couch with a dog. A real dog. He jumped right on top of me. It was fun right up until he decided he wanted to stand up. Stand right on top of me. Ugh!

Later the next morning when I had decided I had imposed on Encyclo and Dick Gobbler enough, I went to Namdaemun, just past Seoul Station. I got a brand new 40 liter hash bag. W55 000, slightly cheaper than they go for in shops. Then I got an SMS. The Others were having pre-hash drinks in Seoul Bar, so I got on a bus and went back to Itaewon.

The Others turned out to be The Who The Fuck Is Dave, Eiffel Plow Her, NN Stevo, Shitonya, and Whiskey Business. So good, so good!

The The Hangover Hash was very good. Short and shiggy free, and speed walker friendly, hared by BOBB. I was FRB, just because I raced past Hummer and Turtle Neck Tool Time on the stairs. I also received my 25th run patch. Halfway to 50, but I still need my 5 hares with Yongsan to be a 50/5er. I have a trail ready.

Then we waited a long time for the guys from Seoul Hash to come back. Blister finally came in first, and we went in search of a place that sold meat. I wasn't hungry, but I wanted their company, instead of sitting in the bar, waiting, and waiting, and waiting some more. We went to an Indian place. Thereafter we went to Grand Ole Opry on Hooker Hill. I learned some kind of square dance. So good, so good!

I should have gone home, but I didn't want to be alone, and I didn't want to get up early and go all the way back to Seoul for the next hash at Southside. I did go home with Double Rain Ho.

When I finally found the correct exit (exit 6, I think) at Sadang Station, I was so tired. I was exhausted. I was emotional. This was supposed to be a fun hash, and I might have been a hare that day, since it was a Mystery Hare hash. But I just sat down in the snow, at the foot of a hill the others had just ran up. I knew they had just passed there because the spoor was clearly visible. It looked just like blood splatters. So I sat in the snow and cried.

When I had had enough, and thought the others would be finished already, I slowly walked back to the start. I could see they hadn't finished yet. It was evident because all was quiet, and I didn't see anyone from my vantage point round the corner, a little higher up. Blister and Turtle ran by me, the former wondering if I was OK. Of course I'm OK, what do you think?! I disappeared from the get go, and then I just stand in the middle of the road.... Everything is peachy!

Afterwards we went 2 subway stops on, to a place where I lived a few months ago for 4 months. Seoul University. We went to a buffet restaurant that had mostly meet. We had to (Korean) braai it ourselves. Probably a reason why it only costs W9 800!

Then we watched Deadliest Warrior at GI Hoe's. That was so fun!

Next weekend I'm haring. On on to better weekends!
